The Team Rocket Tri Club and Piedmont Recreation Association invite you to the 10th annual Pesky Piranha youth triathlon, sponsored by TOC! The distances are accessible to both beginners doing something new and to experienced youth athletes who want to go as fast as they can! The races will be conducted on the streets & facilities surrounding Piedmont Recreation Association under the supervision of Huntsville Police Department.

Sorry, no teams! Top three boys & girls in each age group will receive awards!

GUPPIES (ages 7 & under)

JUNIORS (ages 8-10)

SENIORS (ages 11-14)

Transition Area Open 6:45 – 7:30 am
Check in, Body Marking, Helmet Check 6:45 – 7:30 am
MANDATORY Pre-Race Meeting 7:45 am
Guppy Race Start 8:00 am
Junior Race Start (est.) 8:30 am
Senior Race Start (est.) 9:00 am
Awards Ceremony (est.) 10:00 am

Course Information

Guppies: Run 0.25 miles, Bike 0.75 miles, Swim 25 yards

Juniors: Run 0.5 miles, Bike 0.95 miles, Swim 75 yards

Seniors: Run 0.75 miles, Bike 1.9 miles, Swim 100 yards

Run Course: Out-and-back. Spectators able to view from sidewalk along course.

Bike Course: Training Wheels & push bikes welcome! Course marshals and police support will be stationed on course for safety. Spectators are asked to stay off the road surface for safety of all.

Swim Course: Swim/flotation devices allowed; kick boards available at jump in point. NO DIVING. Lifeguards and volunteers will assist & ensure the athlete safety.
